Unbalanced Scale
An unbalanced scale describes a rating scale where the number of favourable and unfavourable categories is not the same. This means either the positive or the negative part of the scale might outbalance the respective other part.
An unbalanced scale might be used in survey questionnaires, but it should be carefully considered whether a balanced (same number of favourable and unfavourable categories) or unbalanced scale is preferred.
