Trend analysis
The trend within a statistical study is defined as the movement of the values of a variable over a period of time into a certain direction. By employing trend analyses this movement of values is observed and examined more closely.
In practise this happens with the help of repeatedly conducted, similar interviews in certain intervals (e.g. every 3 months, semi-annually, annually, every 2 years). The data derived from those interviews form the basis of a trend analysis.
