Open-ended questions
Open questions are an important part of questionnaires for satisfaction studies. They offer participants the chance to express their opinions and provide their comments concerning a company, service or product in an open and unrestrained way.
Open questions are very effective in telephone and personal interviews because a dialog with the respondent is encouraged. Although the analysis of the responses to this question type is relatively time-consuming compared to categorised closed questions it should not be done without them.
