Mean
Means are statistical measures which describe the general positional level of data (that is their frequency distribution). A distinction is made between arithmetic, geometric and harmonic mean as well as most frequent reading in a data set (mode) or the point in the middle (median). Often the term mean is used as a synonym for arithmetic mean.
