Manufacturer's brand
Manufacturer’s brand means that a manufacturing company markets its products under its own name. They are brands under whose name the producer presents his branded products to end customers.
Typical characteristics of a manufacturer’s brand are:
- wide distribution/good availability of the branded product
- high quality levels
- quality guarantee of the manufacturer
- sold at medium to high prices
- high level of aspiration regarding design, presentation and packaging
- high market penetration.
Well-known manufacturer’s brands are e.g.: BMW, Danone, IBM, Kelloggs, Levi’s Jeans.
