European Customer Satisfaction Index (ECSI)

The European Customer Satisfaction Index is a European customer barometer, which enables the collection of data concerning customer satisfaction and loyalty as well as their influencing factors.

It also allows for comparisons of the customer satisfaction in different countries and across various industries. Similar questionnaires, an identical methodology and standard analysis procedures are applied cross nationally at the same time.

The first ECSI measurement took place in 12 European countries in 1999. It was organized by the European Organization for Quality (EOQ) and the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM).
