Data protection


All legal regulations that have to be met when filing and using personal data (on paper or personal computer software) fall under the data protection legislation. The ideas behind data protection are the preservation of individuals' privacy as well as the prevention of passing on information to unauthorized persons.

All market research providers have to act and do their business in accordance with the data protection laws. The international association ESOMAR developed particular guidelines for data protection.

However, concerning B2B customer surveys client data is forwarded to suppliers to a growing extent. Companies are informed of the respondents' desires, demands and suggestions without granting their privacy if they give their permission to do so. This offers the opportunity to individually adapt CRM measures that are taken to the customer's needs.
